Inverness Caledonian Thistle could see one more player come in
JOHN Robertson may bring in one more player to Inverness Caledonian Thistle before the end of the transfer window.
But he says he is still happy with the squad he has to challenge for the Championship title this season.
Dundee United have been made the bookies’ favourite to win the league.
Dundee are second favourites with Inverness and Partick Thistle predicted to mount the best challenge to the two Tayside clubs.
Robertson said with the financial backing both Dundee clubs have he can understand why they have been labelled favourites before the league season kicks off on Saturday.
But he says Inverness have the quality in their squad to push them all they way in what he expects to be a close race for the title.
“You’d expect both Dundee teams with the amount of money they spent or already spent to be favourites,” he said.
“The Dundee teams with the finance behind them will be tough to beat.
“Partick have spent a lot this year and will be tough to beat.
“You look at the other teams and they have all strengthened including Dunfermline, Greenock Morton and Queen of the South.
“Everybody seems to be strengthening their side and it will be a hugely competitive league.
“But we are happy with our squad.
“We may look for another addition if we can.
“It is going to be another entertaining league season.
“While on paper you expect two Dundee teams to be favourites. I’m sure that ourselves, Dunfermline, Greenock Morton, Queen of the South and Partick Thistle will have a lot to say about that as well.”
