Scott Allardice scored a wondergoal as Inverness Caledonian Thistle came from behind to win their first league match of the season.

Arbroath went into half time in the lead through Kyle Doolan before Daniel MacKay levelled two minutes after the break.

Allardice then scored from 35 yards out before Nikolay Todorov killed off the game 12 minutes from the end.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle made two changes to the team that drew with 1–1 with Ayr United last weekend.

Defender Daniel Devine and midfielder James Keatings were dropped to the bench with Kai Kennedy making his first start for Inverness with captain Sean Welsh coming back from injury.

Aaron Doran also returned to the squad from injury and started on the bench.

Caley Thistle were unable to create any chances on goal in the first half as they played into gale force winds.

Arbroath made the most of playing with the wind on their backs as they created a number of chances from the edge of the box.

They took the lead midway through the first half when Bobby Linn intercepted a pass and zoomed down the left wing before sending a pass into the six-yard box which found Doolan who unchallenged tapped the ball into the net.

But MacKay levelled the match two minutes into the second half he managed to nod a Wallace Duffy cross into the back of the net from close range.

Inverness took the lead midway through the second when Roddy MacGregor passed to Allardice in the centre of the field.

From 35 yards out he unleashed a thunderbolt that found the top right corner.

Inverness then took a two-goal advantage 12 minutes from time when Roddy MacGregor laid the ball off for Todorov who fired the ball into the net which wrapped up all three points.
