Inverness Caledonian Thistle hold 30th anniversary dinner dance as figures from the past and present celebrate three decades





Inverness Caledonian Thistle marked three decades of football in style as they held their 30th Anniversary Dinner Dance.

A special celebration took place on Saturday night as over 260 guests were in attendance at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness.

Ian Thain hosted the evening with management, players and board members mingling with the fans during a fun filled night.

A special question and answer session took place with some of the club’s most notable figures from the past 30 years making guest appearances.

They included former Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Steve Paterson who was in charge of the club between 1995 and 2002. He took the club from the Third Division to the First Division and also led the team to their famous 3-1 win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup third round in 2000.

Among the other Q&A guests included Barry Wilson who played for the club during two periods of his career between 1996 and 2008. He was also part of the management team between 2018 and 2023 where he made his way up to assistant manager under Billy Dodds.

Former Caley Thistle defender Gary Warren who was at Inverness between 2012 and 2018 and goalkeeper Mark McRitchie who played in the first two seasons of the club between 1994 and 1996 also took part.

Members for the Caley Thistle first team squad and management took part in Goal or No Goal and music was provided by Anne Dickson Band and Rokzkool Academy.

Club chaplain Hugh Watt said grace before the meal and prizes were also donated for the auction, silent auction and raffle.
