Alexander (18) has only been involved with the club less than a year, but has already showed great promise to already win a major competition.
He said he did not know what to expect going into the tournament, but was glad to leave a champion.
He said: “It was my debut at the competition. I first got involved in boxing when my Dad took me down to the club eight months ago.
“I did have nerves going into my first competition and there was a 10-hour wait for the fights. The first round was a bit nervy, but I soon settled and gained my confidence.
“Both fights went the distance and I was pleased to win both matches and win the title. I was determined to win and wasn’t going to leave the competition without the gold medal.
“It has given me the confidence to go look at turning professional. I have one more tournament in Glasgow before the end of the season and then look forward to the home show in September.”
Karnphan (17) has impressed at younger age groups in the past and is pleased that his victory at the King of the North Box Cup shows his progression is continuing.
He said: “I would say this is was the biggest win of my career so far. It was a hard opponent in the final and I had to dig deep in the later round.
“I had 15 fights previously going into the competition and I was pleased to get the decision in the final.
“Hopefully I can take this victory and move forward to hopefully get a title fight eventually.”
