INVERNESS Athletic fell further behind on the leading teams in the North Caledonian League with defeat in Dounby.

Orkney took the lead in the first half through Chris Simpson after 36 minutes.

The Orcadians doubled their advantage midway through the second half with an Aiden Drever penalty on 62 minutes.

Eight minutes later the islanders secured all three points with Zak Singh finding the net.

Inverness Athletic have three points after three games and are sixth in the table.
