Inverness athlete who competed at the Olympic Games in Paris becomes fourth fastest Scottish athlete over five kilometres in history - She recorded the time at Stride Athletics Flat 'N Fast 4
Inverness athlete Megan Keith has become the fourth fastest Scottish runner of all time over five kilometres.
The 22-year-old recorded a new Scottish Native Best Performance in the 5km at Flat 'N Fast 4 recording a time of 15 minutes and 13 seconds.
Her performance in the race organised by Stride Athletics, placed her as the fourth fastest Scottish women’s runner of all time for the road distance, behind Beth Potter, Eilish McColgan and Liz McColgan.
Last year, Keith became the first athlete from Inverness Harriers to compete at the Olympic Games.
She ran in the 10,000 metres final at Paris.
Keith also won a bronze medal in the 10,000 metres at the European Championship in June last year.
She also competed in the 5000 metres at the World Athletics Championship at Budapest in August.
