Injury time strike see Clachnacuddin rescue draw at Nairn

JAMES Anderson rescued a point for Clachnacuddin in injury time as they shared the points in a 2-2 draw against Nairn County in a pulsating Highland League encounter at Station Park.

The Lilywhites took the lead midway through the first half when Ben Cormack got on the end of a Ally Gillies free kick to slot home.

But Ben Barron leveled for Nairn County eight minutes before half time when he found the ball in the box before firing into the bottom corner.

Barron then put Nairn County in front in the 71st minute after Tyler Eadie played through Andrew Greig who hit a cross for the striker to head past goalkeeper Logan Ross.

However, Anderson earned Clachnacuddin a point in the dying minutes when Anderson grabbed his second of the match to make it 2-2.

Clachnacuddin are in fourth place in the Highland League on 35 points with Nairn County in 12th on 23 points.
