ICT wanted the points more than Falkirk did
Manager John Robertson says the team that works the hardest will win the Scottish Championship, and that Inverness Caledonian Thistle proved they wanted it more than Falkirk.
George Oakley’s ninth minute goal was enough to give ICT all three points at the Falkirk Stadium to get their campaign off to a winning start.
Falkirk were not able to register a shot on target apart from a disallowed goal midway through the second half, with ICT able to create a number of chances to extend their lead.
The Championship is set to be one of the most open in years and Robertson says none of his squad were able to pick an outright favourite to win the division.
Therefore he said the team that works the hardest will win the league and was pleased ICT showed the quality which was required to do that on Saturday.
