ICT take ex-County midfielder on trial
John Robertson has announced that Inverness Caledonian Thistle have taken midfielder Tim Chow on trial with the club.
Chinese Taipei international Chow came through the system at Wigan Athletic, breaking into the first team there, before spending his last two years at ICT’s Highland rivals Ross County.
Caley Thistle are still looking to do business in this transfer window, with Grant Nelson also at the club on trial from Rangers.
And Robertson says that they have given Chow a chance to impress because they are specifically looking to strengthen in the middle of the park.
"We brought Tim Chow in yesterday, who’s been released from Ross County, because we feel we’re one light in the central midfield area.
"Tim’s done very well over the last two years with County, he’s played a lot of games, he’s got good pedigree.
"What is potentially in our favour is that he’s met a local girl, and he’s quite settled in the area, he wants to stay in the area.
"He knows what it’s like, and when things settle down we’ll see how he does and how he fits in with the squad and take it from there.
"We certainly still feel we’re a central midfield player light at the moment – we’ve got good options elsewhere I think, we’ve got six or seven defenders, four or five central midfield players, four wide men and four strikers."
