As talk of a boycott of season tickets gathered pace last week, the Supporters’ Trust – who could not endorse the move – asked fans to make them aware of how much money they planned to withhold from the Caley Jags.

That, they hoped, would highlight to the ICT board of directors just how strong the feeling was among fans, and show the club how much they stood to lose by going through with the move to Kelty.

Within around 30 hours, the Supporters’ Trust had been made aware of a significant six-figure sum that fans planned not to spend with Caley Thistle this summer.

Now, they say the number is approaching a quarter of a million, currently totalling £233,000 of which £154,000 is season tickets.

The rest is made up of merchandise sales, player and pitch-side sponsorship and hospitality that fans would normally buy, but do not intend to this season while the situation remains as is.
