John Robertson says he will take his time to find a new assistant manager to replace Brian Rice after he left Inverness Caledonian Thistle to join St Mirren.

But he is hopeful that he will have someone in place in time for their first League Cup group game against Cove Rangers on Saturday, July 14.

Rice left the club on Thursday night to take up the number two position at St Mirren Park to work alongside Saints manager Alan Stubbs.

With the club returning to training and due to play their first pre-season matches this weekend, Robertson said he is in no rush to appoint a new assistant.
