Hunter happy to take Clachnacuddin opportunity with both hands
Making the step up from playing North Caledonian League to Highland League has fitted like a glove for Ryan Hunter.
The goalkeeper picked up his first win for Clachnacuddin since signing from Inverness Athletic at Keith last week.
The 27-year-old impressed manager Sandy McLeod, having played as a trialist for Clach in their 2–1 defeat against Brora Rangers last month.
But Hunter, who was previously a goalkeeper for Fort William, said he was also impressed with the challenge the Lilywhites could offer him that night.
“I’ve loved it since the first game against Brora,” he said.
“When they made the offer to me after the game I fancied the challenge and making the step up.
“And it has been a step up. I know I still need to knuckle down and keep training hard.
“Hopefully I will do well for the team.”
