How did Inverness Caley Thistle do in first home match since administration?
Scottish League One
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1
Kelty Hearts 1
Scorers - Inverness: Longstaff (3) Kelty: Cunningham (14)
Inverness Caledonian Thistle were unable to hold on to their lead as they had to settle for a draw against Kelty Hearts in their League One.
It was the first time Inverness had played at the Caledonian Stadium since going into administration last week as 1502 fans watched the 1-1 draw.
Luis Longstaff gave Inverness the lead after three minutes about Ross Cunningham levelled from a fabulous free kick as both teams shared the points.
The result means Inverness are now on -2, but are only 14 points behind Dumbarton who lost 3-0 at home to Cove Rangers earlier this afternoon.
Danny Devine, who has been made club captain following Billy Mckay being made player coach, returned to the starting line-up and replaced Robbie Thompson who was on the bench.
Inverness broke the deadlock after three minutes when Longstaff saw the corner he sent into the box come back to him.
From the edge of the six-yard box, he fired a low drive into the bottom left corner to put the hosts in front.
Inverness could have regained the lead seven minutes before half time when Billy Mckay’s cross found an acrobatic Danny Devine who volleyed his shot onto the right post which bounced into the hands of Adams.
They went close against when Longstaff’s cross from the left wing found Keith Bray in the box who chested it down and fired at goal, only for his shot to be parried away by the goalkeeper.
However, the lead only lasted 10 minutes when Kelty were awarded a free kick after Connall Ewan was guilty of a cynical foul on Ross Cunningham at the edge of the box. Cunningham made Inverness pay by firing his free kick into the top left corner to make it 1-1.
Kelty threatened to take the lead midway through the second half when Scott Mercer was allowed to unleash a curling effort from 20 yards out which Dibaga had to be at full stretch to divert away from goal.
Inverness thought they regained the lead when Bray headed the ball into the net from Longstaff cross, but he was judged to have impeded goalkeeper Adams who won the foul.
Bray went close again when he managed to beat his marker in the box as he latched on to a ball from Paull Allan. But he only managed to fire into the side netting.
Both teams had chances to score a second but neither team were able to find the net again.
