Inverness Caledonian Thistle continued their pre-season preparations with friendlies at Clachnacuddin and Forres Mechanics on Saturday afternoon.
The League One outfit fielded a far stronger side against Clachnacuddin at Grant Street Park while a youthful looking team were in action at Mosset Park in Forres.
At Grant Street Park, Inverness Caledonian Thistle were gifted the chance to take the lead after five minutes when they were awarded a penalty.
Ben Cormack was guilty of fouling Luis Longstaff in the box, which allowed David Wotherspoon to score from the spot.
He fired a powerful shot past former Caley Thistle goalkeeper Mark Ridgers, who was playing his first game for Clachnacuddin, into the left side of the net.
Inverness continued to press their authority in the game and came close to doubling their advantage when Calum Macleod fired a 20-yard effort towards goal which Ridgers had to tip over the bar.
Trialist Destiny Ojo also had a great chance to find the net when he beat the offside trap to run on to a longball with only the goalkeeper to beat. He chipped the ball over Ridgers, but his effort was too high to dip under the bar.
Clachnacuddin equalised just before half time when Greg Morrison saw an effort saved by Ross Munro, but the rebound fell to James Anderson who fired home from close range.
Both teams created chances in the second half, with Ojo coming close for Inverness when his close range effort was well saved by Ridgers.
Clachnacuddin came close to taking the lead with 10 minutes remaining when Harry Nicolson’s header from Blair Lawrie’s corner kick appeared to be heading towards the top right corner but was diverted away by Munro.
Inverness almost won it at the end when Ojo set up Ben Gardiner unchallenged eight-yards in front of goal but he blasted over the bar.

Forres took the lead in the 33rd minute when a corner kick into the box resulted in a scramble before the ball was diverted into the net.
Six minutes later Forres doubled their advantage when Calum Frame fired a low drive in the box straight into the net.
With four minutes remaining, substitute Kieran Hayllar added a third with Mark McLauchlan scoring a spectacular effort from long range a minute later to seal an impressive win for Forres.
