Highland head coach Dave Carson has stressed the need to refocus to finish off the league campaign after last weekend’s cup final.

The Greens travelled down to Stirling last Saturday to face National One side Aberdeen Grammar in the National League Cup final, but Grammar won 26-10.

Now they have one last league match to play to wrap up the season, against Stewart’s Melville in Edinburgh on Saturday.

After the highlight of playing in a cup final, Carson does not expect anyone to shy away from selection for the season closer.

“All in all, it was a fantastic day out for the club,” he said.

“We certainly didn’t let the supporters down, we had a fantastic support down.

“The noise throughout the whole game, from the Grammar supporters as well, made it a really good atmosphere."
