Today, the first to fall to the weather was Clachnacuddin’s home match against Lossiemouth, with Grant Street Park failing a 9am pitch inspection.

The second was Nairn County’s scheduled game against defending champions Buckie, which was to be held at Station Park.

However, both Highland clubs will still have activities ongoing this afternoon, with the Lilywhites hosting their Ladies’ Day from 1.30pm.

Similarly, Nairn County had been due to host a Christmas Gift Appeal asking for donations. Although there will be no football to watch, Station Park will still open between 1pm and 2pm for anyone to head down and drop off their gifts.

Further east, league leaders Brechin City’s match against Keith was also postponed following a 10am pitch inspection at Glebe Park.

However, defying the odds to proceed as planned is the match between Banks O’Dee and Formartine United after Spain Park passed a 10am inspection of their own.
