Highland RFC manager Dave Carson says his team are looking to kick-off their season in the right way when they take on Glasgow Accies in the National League Cup.

The National Three champions will travel down to New Anniesland to take on the team which was also promoted with them last season when they finished in second place four points off the Greens.

Highland were undefeated against Accies last season, drawing 24-24 in Glasgow along with coming out top 17-10 on their way to winning the league title.

Carson says it will be a tough encounter against Glasgow Accies, but he said they know all about their opponents and thinks they will have enough to get past the first round.
