Highland confident they can move on up

Highland RFC head coach Dave Carson says his players believe they are capable of achieving back-to-back promotions after winning the National Three championship last season.

But he says his team will have to play to the best of their ability if they are to finish in the top two of National Two this season.

Highland don’t start their league campaign until next week against Preston Lodge, but they will be heading to New Anniesland in the National League Cup first round tomorrow to take on fellow promoted side Glasgow Accies.

Carson believes that Highland can finish at least in the top four this season and challenge for promotion.
