It’s been an extremely successful few weeks for Highland Budokan as they have had squad members win medals in tournaments all over the UK.

First at the Northern Ireland open last month, Freya Boyd came away with a gold medal. Cameron Foster and Louis Norgate each finished in seventh place.

Then in Walsall the following week for the English Open, Bailey Mutseyekwa earned bronze and Sophie McWilliam placed fifth.

That was quickly followed by the first JudoScotland grand prix of the year in the form of the Clyde Grand Prix held in Paisley, where Highland Budokan did extremely well and won even more.

Freya Boyd won her second gold medal of this run and Sophie Mapplebeck also walked away with gold.

They were joined on podiums by Bailey Mutseyekwa, Beth Liddle, Sophie Rand and Libby Darling who all won silver medals.

And to top it all off, there were also bronze medals for Isla Liddle, Tommy Rand, Cole Kennedy and Corey Foster.
