Gordon on cloud nine after Caley Thistle Women progress

Hannah Gordon was on cloud nine after a ruthless performance in front of goal for Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women.

The striker found the net an incredible nine times for her team to help them thrash Panmure 20-1 in the Scottish Cup second round.

The 25-year-old felt she could have even hit double figures at Carnoustie last weekend.

But she was happy enough helping her team get into the next round of the competition.

“That is the first time I have scored nine goals in one game in my career,” she said.

“Every time the ball landed in front of me I just tried to hit the net."
