Bristol is the biggest international competition to be held in the UK, with athletes flying in from all over the world to go for glory.

Despite picking up an injury in just his second bout of the weekend, Lennan was able to triumph in the junior kick light section, as well as both the junior and senior light contact.

He would then try to become the junior open weight grand champion, but lost by one point in his semi final bout and so had to settle for bronze.

Aidan would also try to compete in the points categories, but due to his injury made the decision to pull out.

Younger brother Ciaran Lennan was also in action, taking part in the older cadets points across two weights and light contact.

Although he won several bouts, Ciaran ended up losing out at the quarter final stage of all three categories.

Upon returning home, he was also diagnosed with tonsillitis, which may have prevented him from going further in the competition.

Bristol was already due to be both brothers’ final outing in 2024, although once back to full fitness they will continue training ahead of a return to action at the WAKO British National Championships in Nottingham next February.
