INVERNESS Athletic manager Jason Golabek is expected to keep the same starting 11 for their league clash against North Caledonian League opponents Thurso tomorrow.

Athletic’s 4–2 victory against Bonar Bridge last weekend was their first league win in two months, and Golabek hopes an unchanged side can pick up more points on the road.

“It would be good to have the same starting 11 available again on Saturday,” said Golabek.

“I think it would be the first time this season that has happened.”

Athletic lost 3–2 to Thurso when the teams met in the Highland capital back in November.

In a close encounter, a goal deep in stoppage time robbed Athletic of a point.

However, the Athletic boss feels his side are in a lot better shape this time around.

“It was a sore one to take but there has been a lot of improvement,” he said.

“There is a good spirit about the team – I’m very confident we can go up there and get a result.”

Athletic trio, James Mackay, Ryan Ingram and Lewis MacLeod are unavailable again and will miss the trip.

In the other matches, Invergordon have an early start for their trip to Orkney, St Duthus take on Halkirk United and Bonar Bridge host Golspie Sutherland.
