The Thistle Girls FC tournament saw over 100 girls play football at Millburn Academy in Inverness

Girls’ football in the Highlands is the strongest it has ever been as 100 youngsters took part in a tournament held in Inverness.

Thistle Girls’ FC organised a competition at Millburn Academy where 11 clubs and schools took part in a festival of football.

Now organisers want to build on their success saying girls’ football is one of the fastest growing sports in the city.
