Gillies keen to improve after Highland League experience with Clachnacuddin

Clachnacuddin rising star Alasdair Gillies says he is relishing being given the chance of playing first team football in the Highland League.

The Muir of Ord teenager burst on to the scene last season as a 16-year-old where his performances proved to be one of the highlights of the club’s campaign.

Now he is looking forward to the start of the new league season this month, believing Clachnacuddin can help him become an even better player with more first team opportunities.

“It is a good club to play for and they are giving me game time. I couldn’t be happier playing here.

“The manager was wanting to see what I was like last season and it was great to get the experience of playing at this level.

“When I came up against teams like Brora Rangers I was nervous. But it was great to have the chance of playing against them.

“But I feel more experienced after the chances I have been given.”
