Six maximums in opening round of Inverness Summer Darts League season





The opening matches in the City Taxis Inverness Summer Darts League saw six maximums and 11 ton-plus checkouts.

Highlight’s this week were a brace of maximums from Still Game’s Robert Mackenzie and the top checkout of the week, 160, from Russell Moffat from SoBar Pirates.

In the A League East End Arrows started this year’s campaign with a 7–5 win over Tarradale with the Greig Street side winning seven of the singles but losing all four doubles.

Battlefield Bullies travelled to Nairn to take on the Seaforth Club but it was the home side who gained bragging rights, winning 7–5.

Last year’s B League champions Innes Bar were thrashed in their opening top league match, an Innes Bar derby, as Still Game romped to an 11–1 victory.

There were only two matches in the B League with Castle Street Elite beating Innes Spikeys 11–1 victory with Raigmore and Culloden Moor Inn drawing 6–6. Clachnaharry got their season off to a successful start with a 9–3 win away to Maleia’s.

Roaring Thunder Raigmore beat SoBar Pirates 10–2 and 147 Buddies beat Canteen 9–3.

B League: Innes Spikeys v Innes X, Culloden Moor Inn v Castle Street Elite
