Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Clachnacuddin and Nairn County not in action on Saturday as matches are cancelled





FURTHER matches have been postponed in the Highlands this weekend after failing to beat the cold snap which has hit the region.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s League One clash against Stenhousemuir, scheduled to be played today, was postponed at 3pm yesterday afternoon as a result of frozen pitch.

The match will now take place on Tuesday, March 11 at 7.45pm.

This morning, the Highland League match between Clachnacuddin and Huntly scheduled to be played at Grant Street Park on Saturday afternoon, failed a 9am pitch inspection due to heavy frost.

The postponement comes after it was revealed yesterday that the Lilywhites have signed Ross Logan on a loan deal from Ross County until the end of the season.

It was the first Highland League match to be called off today with Keith v Rothes also called off this morning. Five other matches are scheduled to take place in the division this afternoon.

Nairn County’s friendly match against Dufftown due to take place today has been cancelled after their opponents were given a rearranged cup tie.

Ross County are travelling to Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon. The Staggies are in the relegation zone, currently in 11th place. But a win could take them as high as ninth today, if other results go their way.
