Free tennis lessons being offered to NHS heroes in Nairn

NHS heroes are being offered free tennis lessons at a hotel in Nairn as part of a celebration of health workers on Saturday.

The Crerar Golf View Hotel and Spa in Nairn will be holding the event starting on Saturday which is also open to hotel guests and members of the public.

The event will be hosted by tennis director Carl Gavine who has previously managed tennis facilities in Antigua; Anguilla, Puerto Rico and the United States.

He has hosted training programmes for top ATP Tour Professionals including David Ferrer, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Juan Carlos Ferrero and reigning Olympic Ladies’ Singles Champion Monica Puig.

His junior students have won United States National Games Gold Medals and lucrative scholarships to top American colleges.

The tennis lessons on Saturday will be followed by a free mixer doubles round robin tournament on Sunday.

Play will start at 10m and run to 1pm.
