MANAGER John Robertson says he will be looking for Caley Thistle to show the same bravery against Hibernian in the Scottish Cup quarter final on Friday like they did in the 2–1 Championship win against Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday.

Aaron Doran gave Caley Thistle the lead on the half hour when his free-kick smacked against the underside of the crossbar and went over the line from 20 yards out.

But Dominic Thomas equalised for Dunfermline with 20 minutes to go with a fantastic strike from the edge of the box which sailed into the top left corner.

However, sub Tom Walsh won the game with 13 minutes left to give ICT victory.

Robertson says the win will give them belief they can get a result at Hibs tomorrow.

Speaking about the Dunfermline win, he said: “It was an even game with two unbelievable goals and it looked like it was going to play out a draw.

“But we were brave going forward, I’m not saying we deserved it, but I think if we finished 1-1 it would have been a fair reflection of the game.”

He added: “It has been a great month for us.

“We have consolidated second place, we’re in the Challenge Cup final and we are in the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup.

“It allows us to go to Easter Road with confidence.”
