Forres golfer edges to victory at North District Championship at Moray

Forres golfer Matthew Wilson claimed the North District Golf Championship at Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth.

He took the title by one shot after recording rounds of 70 in both rounds of the competition to leave him with a score of 140 to win the Association Cup.

Nairn Golf Club’s Hamish McColm was second, one shot behind the winner, when he returned rounds of 72 and 69 for a score of 141.

Allan Cameron of Fortrose and Rosemarkie was third with two rounds of 72 for a final score of 144. Elgin’s Jordan Milne was fourth thanks to a better inward half from Moray’s Blair Moir after both finished on 146.
