Spittal has signed up at Fir Park, 10 days since it was announced he was leaving Dingwall after three years with the Staggies.

When he arrived at the Global Energy Stadium, County had just returned to the Premiership under the stewardship of Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson.

He went on to make 72 appearances with 12 goals – including on the final day of the season against Dundee United – to his name.

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander said: "We are very happy to bring Blair to our club and add to our attacking options,” manager Graham Alexander said.

“He was one of several standouts at Ross County in 2021-22 and displayed great versatility, which enhanced our ambition to sign him.

“He also showed a real positive attitude to signing for us when we first met, and we’re all looking forward to working with him.”
