Goalkeeper Lewis Munro has agreed a new two-and-a-half-year contract with Highland League club Nairn County.

The 19-year-old has committed his future at Station Park in a deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

Munro is in his third season at Nairn County having initially joined on loan from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in November 2022.

Manager Ross Tokely said: “Lewis has had to be patient and wait for his chance but he has played the last three games for us and done well in each of them.

“He is a good trainer and rarely misses a session and as a coaching staff, we are looking forward to continuing working with him.

“You can definitely see improvement in Lewis’s game this season and we will keep working with him to try to continue that. It is up to him to keep working on his development and continue to push Dylan Maclean.

“We have two good goalkeepers in the squad just now which is important for competition and for them to continue to try to bring the best out in each other.”

His deal comes as midfielder Angus Dey also signed a new deal at Nairn County to stay at the club until 2027.
