FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle player Mitch Curry has signed for a new club in England.

The 25-year-old attacker, who played for Caley Thistle while on loan from Middlesbrough in the 2019/20 campaign, has signed for Northern Premier League outfit Blyth Spartans.

Curry started his career at Middlesbrough playing for their under-18 and under-21 sides and had loan spells at Harrogate, Inverness and Gateshead before he moved to Sunderland in 2020.

He made one appearance for the Black Cats before moving across to the USA, joining Fort Lauderdale CF in Florida and then Hartford Athletic in Connecticut.

Last season, he returned to England to sign for Darlington in National League North and featured 25 times for Alun Armstrong’s side netting five times.

While at Inverness Caledonian Thistle when he joined in June 2019, Curry played 15 times and scored two goals. He left in January 2020 to move on loan to Gateshead.
