Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder signs for League One rivals Queen of the South. He was previously on loan at Inverness from Rangers
FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Kai Kennedy has signed for League One rivals Queen of the South.
The 22-year-old has signed for the Dumfries outfit on a one-year deal after leaving English National League outfit York City at the end of last season.
Kennedy, who came through the Rangers youth system, signed on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle on October 2020 and stayed for three months.
During his career, he has also gone on loan at Raith Rovers, Dunfermline Athletic, Hamilton Academical and Falkirk.
Naismith has been capped at Under-16, 17, 18, 19 and 21 levels for Scotland.
Speaking about capturing Kennedy’s signature, Queen of the South manager Peter Murphy said: “We are really excited to have signed Kai. He is a good young player with a lot of first team experience.
“He has consistently been a thorn in the side of teams with his ability to quickly move down the wing and deliver the ball into the box.
“As well as being a provider he also weighs in with goals of his own. We feel he will be a real asset for us, we are delighted to have him in the squad and we look forward to working with him.”
