The 27-year-old has agreed a move to Edgar Street after turning down an offer to stay at Caley Thistle after his contract expired last season.

Speaking after agreeing his deal, Storey said: “I’ve enjoyed my time up in Scotland it was a good challenge and I enjoyed my time up there playing in the Scottish Premiership and Championship. I’ve been looking to try and get back to England and get back closer to home.

“I’ve played for a couple of big clubs, and this place has got that big club feel. Josh really sold the place to me, it’s a project and he wants to get the club back to where it was. I really liked the ambition about the place, and I’ve spoken to a couple of lads here who I know, and they’ve said how good it is.

“The manager’s desire to get me in was a big thing for me as well. Josh spoke to me a couple of times and he was trying to get me here, I felt wanted and it felt good, it just feels like the right thing to do.”
