Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender agree new deal at Highland League club Brechin City
FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Brad McKay has signed a new deal with Highland League club Brechin City.
The 32-year-old has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension, with the option for a further year following originally joining the club last season.
Brechin City finished in second place in the Highland League this season on goal difference to Brora Rangers, despite only losing two matches during the entire campaign.
Mckay played at Inverness Caledonian Thistle for five years between 2016 and 2021 where he played 164 times for the club.
He was part of the Inverness team which won the Challenge Cup in 2018.
After leaving Inverness Caledonian Thistle, he spent three seasons at Falkirk before moving on to Brechin City last season.
He is one of a number of former Inverness Caledonian Thistle players who played in the Highland League last season. Four former Inverness players were in the Brechin City squad last season.
It was announced last week that former Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Aaron Doran has signed a new deal with Strathspey Thistle.
Former Caley Thistle goalkeeper Mark Ridgers, who played for Buckie Thistle last season, will play for Clachnacuddin in the 2025/26 campaign.
