NAIRN County were blown away by a rampant Formartine United who showed no mercy at Station Park.
The Pitmedden club scored three goals in each half as Nairn suffered their heaviest defeat of the season.
But the hosts could have taken the lead in the opening minute when Liam Shewan rushed down the left wing and crossed the ball into the box to find Scotty Davidson who blasted over the bar from eight yards.
But they gifted Formartine the lead after 11 minutes when Adam Porritt turned Scott Lisle’s cross from the left wing into his own net while attempting to clear the ball away from danger.
Formartine doubled their advantage in the 27th minute when Andrew Greig’s cross into the box found Kieran Lawrence.
He laid off Graeme Rodger who ran through the defence and fired a shot which goalkeeper Dylan Maclean got a hand to but couldn’t parry it away from finding the net.
The visitors killed the match off before half time when Andrew Greig’s ball from the left wing found Scott Lisle in the box who found Connor Gethins who from close range blasted past Maclean.
Nairn attempted to get back into the match with Max Ewan creating a couple of chances in the second half forcing saves from Kevin Main.
However Formartine were awarded a penalty midway through the second half when Dylan Maclean brought down Scott Lisle.
Jonathan Crawford kept his composure to fire the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 4-0 in 65 minutes.
Lisle made it 5-0 eight minutes from time when he connected with Aaron Norris’ cross to score from eight yards.
With four minutes remaining time Jordan Leyden completed the rout connecting with Daniel Park’s cross and scored from close range.
