Inverness were only 1-0 up at half time as James Keatings scored two minutes before the break after Morton goalkeeper Danny Rogers parried Aaron Doran's shot straight to the midfielder who scored from 10 yards.

Keatings scored again a minute into the second half when he connected with Jamie McCart's cross to score from a tight angle from 12 yards.

Jordan White made it 3-0 midway through the second half when he connected with James Vincent's cross in the box.

Morton were awarded a penalty but Nicky Cadden couldn't reduce the deficit as his spotkick was saved by Mark Ridgers.

Coll Donaldson made it 4-0 with 13 minutes remaining before Nikolay Todorov made it five three minutes later.
