Fans make views known as former chairman takes charge at Inverness Caledonian Thistle
FANS are reacting to the news that former club chairman Alan Savage has been appointed in charge of Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
It has also been confirmed by the club that negotiations with Seventy7 Ventures, who looked set to become the new majority shareholder at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, have been suspended.
In addition, former chief executive Scot Gardiner left the club on Monday night.
In a statement from the board of directors, interim chairman Panos Thomas said Savage will oversee the organisational restructure of the club as they seek to remedy their financial issues.
Supporters on the Inverness Courier Facebook page gave their views to the announcement this afternoon.
Isabelle MacKenzie said: “Good news for Inverness Caledonian Thistle to have Mr Savage on board again. Steer the group onwards and upwards.”
David Gillan said: ”Good someone who has a stake in the town, is a football fan, and knows what he’s doing.”
David Greenlees: “Finally some sense from the club, step in the right direction with a local man with the club at heart, hope it works out well for you Mr Savage.”
Cameron Fraser said: “Great news that the club is heading in the right direction. Particularly pleasing as it will upset all the right people. Like the ones born and raised here that support clubs from Glasgow. Or people that still can’t get over a merger happening 30 years ago.”
Alasdair Gray said: “Excellent news. If we don't get a result in our next game, Ferguson also needs to go.”
