Former Inverness Caley Thistle goalkeeper Musa Dibaga signs for new club in Northern Ireland
Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle goalkeeper Musa Dibaga has put pen-to-paper on a deal with a new club.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper became an unlikely hero in the Highlands last season, initially joining after a spell with Lowland League club Bo’Ness United to be cover for Dundee United loanee Jack Newman in goal.
However, an injury to Newman gave Dibaga his chance, and he soon established himself as the club’s first choice goalkeeper.
He would go on to keep 14 clean sheets in 32 appearances across all competitions, and would be named both in the League One team of the season and Caley Thistle’s fan’s player of the year.
Having only signed a one-year contract, though, his future was always going to be up in the air at the end of the campaign, and it was confirmed last month that Dibaga had decided to leave Inverness.
Now, he has been confirmed as the newest signing for Crusaders in the Northern Irish Premiership on a two-year deal.
Crusaders manager Declan Caddell told the club’s media: "We’re thrilled to bring Musa to Crusaders. He had a fantastic season with Inverness and comes highly recommended.
“After speaking with him, it was clear that this is the right club for him to continue progressing and achieve his ambitions of playing at the highest level.
"We look forward to seeing him in action next season and have no doubt he’ll be a big success and an instant fan favourite."
