Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women manager Karen Mason says her team will not let their performance drop when they face second-bottom Deveronvale.

The team recorded their fourth league win in a row on Sunday thrashing Stonehaven 6-1 at Millburn Academy to remain third.

The victory saw them reduce the gap with Division One North leaders Aberdeen who were held to a 4-4 draw at Cove Rangers.

Deveronvale were hammered 11-0 by second placed Dunfermline Athletic last weekend who are ahead of Caley Thistle on goal difference. Mason says she expects her team to continue their fine form with victory at Macduff.

“It will be a different challenge,” she said.

“They will have a young team with lots of energy and they will look to cause us some problems.

“They took a beating off Dunfermline.

“I am sure they will be looking for a response from their girls that it doesn’t happen again against us on Sunday.

“We have to give everyone the same respect.

“At times our own level of performance can drop if our opponents aren’t as good as we expect them to be when we face them.

“We have to go about our business in a professional manner and get the job done regardless of what is in front of us.”

Kirsty Deans is the only player who will be unavailable.

With Aberdeen dropping their first points of the campaign, Mason wants to make sure her team makes the most of it as the leaders still have a game in hand.

“We are concentrating on ourselves but results like that are positive.

“The Aberdeen result gave us hope that we can keep challenging.

“We might need a few more favours to catch them but as long as we keep up our performances hopefully we can keep fighting them.”

Leanne Calder got two goals against Stonehaven with Julia Scott, Natalie Bodiam, Janette Janatuinen and Finella Annand also scoring.
