Davidson has been missing in action since being taken off by wheelchair in the 1-0 win against Alloa Athletic on November 16.

He required an operation for his knee injury and despite being on the road to recovery, assistant manager Billy Mckay confirmed he will not play again this season.

Davidson signed for Inverness in June 2023 and last season was sent on loan to Hamilton Academical in the second half of the campaign after struggling to break into the first team under Duncan Ferguson.

Mckay says Davidson has been at the club, but will not feature on the field this season.

He confirmed: “You won’t see Jake this season, he has had an operation on his knee.

“It has been great to see him back around the club. He has been back doing some rehab and we wish him the best with his recovery.”

Mckay is the only injury doubt for tomorrow’s match against Stenhousemuir after suffering a knock in the 3-0 defeat at Arbroath last weekend.
