Defender says Inverness Caledonian Thistle can only get better as they prepare to face Montrose
REMI Savage says Inverness Caledonian Thistle will only get better as the season goes on as he is pleased with how the campaign has gone so far.
Caley Thistle are in second place in League One just one point behind leaders Stenhousemuir after 11 matches so far.
If Inverness beat Montrose tomorrow and Stenhousemuir fail to beat Queen of the South in Dumfries, they will return back to the summit.
Savage is pleased with how the campaign is going and predicts more positive results as the season goes on.
He said: "I think we're still improving.
"We had a lot of new players come in this season and, along with those we kept, everyone is really gelling.
"We can only get better as we go on. We have a really good group of lads, including those the manager has brought in.
Speaking about how the campaign has gone so far, Savage said: "We've got off to a good start this season.
"We're through the first quarter of games and we're just one point off the top.
"We have to keep going. Everyone is feeling good.
"We'll take each game as it comes and hopefully keep winning.”
"Every team in League One is good and there really are no easy games.
"We'll take each game as it comes and so far, we've been alright, so we need to keep going.
"There's a long way to go this season. We're happy with how we've started and we just want to carry it on.”
Montrose head to Inverness tomorrow looking to end a run of three straight defeats and Savage says the team expect a tough challenge.
He said: "We expect Montrose to come here and give a good account of themselves.
"They're coming here off the back of a loss last week. Usually, you get a reaction in the next game.
"We're going into Saturday off the back of a win, so we just have to keep our form up and get three points. “
