Defender is third former Inverness Caley Thistle player to join same Championship club this summer

FORMER Inverness Caledonian Thistle defender Morgan Boyes has signed a deal to join Championship outfit Greenock Morton.

The 23-year-old has signed for Morton following his expiration of his contract at Livingston.

Boyes played on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle last season when he made 33 appearances and scored twice.

Boyes has become the third former Inverness Caledonian Thistle player to sign for Greenock Morton this season.

It was confirmed earlier this week that ex-ICT defender Zak Delaney has joined Greenock Morton after deciding to leave Arbroath.

Midfielder Nathan Shaw also signed for Greenock Morton following the expiration of his contract at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Earlier today, Inverness Caledonian Thistle lost their friendly clash with Raith Rovers 1-0 in Kirkcaldy.
