Darts - Inverness Doubles Championship sees Scotland internationalists claim victory with mixed doubles champions also crowned





Nicky Denoon and Derek Maclean came out on top as they won the Inverness Doubles Championship.

The Portland A and Battlefield Bullies duo paired up to claim victory at the Innes Bar on Thursday night.

They defeated Kevin Manson and Luke Manson from Muir of Ord outfit Tarradale in the final.

Henry Macpherson and Lawrence Deans from Innes Spikeys, along with Robert Mackenzie and Jim Patterson reached the semi finals.

Both men are set to represent Scotland at the British Internationals later this month.

Maclean will make his debut for Scotland with Denoon making his third appearance for Scotland at the tournament.

In the mixed doubles competition, Nicola Prosser of Innes X and Mikey Maclean from the Seaforth Club claimed victory as they defeated Lesley Dawson and Davie Lawrence in the final.

Rachel Dick and Robbie Campbell along with Maria Ross and Steve Mansell from Battlefield Clan/Clachnaharry.
