The trek north is difficult for most teams, and it took the Nairn Saints some time to get their rhythm – not helped by playing into a headwind in the first half.

In the second, though, St Ninian were able to be a little more proactive, and their perseverance finally paid off with a later winner.

Louise Horgan was instrumental in the goal, winning the ball back and charging forward before laying it off to Emily Darge who duly converted.

St Ninian have a free weekend this Sunday.
