Inverness Caley Thistle launch crowdfunder in bid to save football club’s future with threat of administration looming

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have launched their crowdfunder in a bid to save the future of the club.

A letter sent out to shareholders yesterday confirmed the perilous situation Caley Thistle find themselves in, with a need to raise £200,000 by October 16 or else face “inevitable” administration.

That is part of a need of between £1.4 million and £1.6 million that will be needed to ensure ICT can see out the rest of the 2024/25 campaign.

This afternoon manager Duncan Ferguson also confirmed he was working without a wage to do what he could to help the situation.

The board of directors, via the letter written by interim chairman Panos Thomas, have pledged to explore all avenues of generating income to help the club raise such income, with crowdfunding one of various means available to them.

A GoFundMe has been launched in the last couple of hours, with 57 donations already having been made at the time of writing totalling just over £3600.

“Since the club was formed in 1994, it has been supported, financially, by various local businesses and individuals,” the Caley Jags wrote on social media.

“The club really appreciates the support it has had from fans over the years and recognises that it forms an important part of community life for many.

“We would be grateful for any donations, large or small, in an attempt to save the club.”
