John Robertson has labelled Coll Donaldson’s game-changing tackle against Dundee United on Tuesday evening as crazy.

Donaldson slid in on Peter Pawlett to concede a penalty, from which United scored the decisive goal.

And coming out the wrong side of a close encounter due to an individual error gave Robertson a sense of déjá vu.

“It was a crazy decision,” he said.

“Coll has the guy 10 yards out at an angle with his back to goal, you don’t dive in. You stand up, you use your experience, but he’s dived in.

"It’s a penalty all day long, and then we’ve got to push even further than we did."
