ROSS County made it successive 2-0 victories against Highland League opposition after overcoming Clach at Grant Street Park.
Colin McMenamin was foiled by home goalkeeper Steven Dunn in the early stages, while Sam Morrow had an effort bravely blocked on the line by Michael Finnis.
The deadlock was eventually broken by County in the 21st minute when former Caley Thistle defender firmly headed home Rocco Quinn's corner.
Michael Gardyne then struck the top of the crossbar from a tight angle as the first half drew to a close.
Dunn was on hand again to deny Gary Miller before Clach substitute Paul Brindle went close at the other end with a shot from 10 yards that narrowly went past the upright.
Russell Duncan tested Dunn's reflexes as County went in search of a second goal and it duly arrived 10 minutes from time.
Clach substitute goalkeeper Robbie Donaldson failed to effectively clear a cross and Mark Corcoran punished him by dispatching a volley from the edge of the box.
