INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle need to win their remaining three games if they want to qualify from the Betfred Cup Group Stage.

That is the opinion of coach Barry Wilson after his team suffered a shock penalty shoot-out defeat at Peterhead on Tuesday night.

The Championship outfit still picked up a point at Balmoor after having to withstand an attacking Peterhead team in the second half to keep the score 0-0 after 90 minutes.

But the League One outfit came out on top in the penalty shoot-out 11-10 to win an extra point.

Wilson believes they need to take maximum points against Raith Rovers on Saturday as well as against Cove Rangers and Dundee to make the last 16 of the tournament.
