Clachnacuddin striker James Anderson is named Highland League Young Player of the Year

Clachnacuddin striker James Anderson has been named as the Highland League Young Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old received the accolade at an awards ceremony last night after firing 25 goals during the 2021/22 campaign.

He was second top scorer in the league behind Fraserburgh striker Scott Barbour with 32, who was named Highland League Player of the Year.

Fraserburgh boss Mark Cowie was named manager of the year after leading the Buchan outfit to the Highland League title.

The champions also won the fair play award.
